Documentary Now!

Tags:

If you happen to be in London on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of January you might want to attend the annual Documentary Now! conference at Birbeck College. This is a small but friendly 2 days conference about contemporary documentary issues where some new media projects are discussed. For this year I know that their guest speaker is Florian Thahlhofer (creator of Korsakow System for Interactive Documentaries – see The Love Story Project in the archive).

A little more information is available here. They do not do a lot of advertising, but I went last year and it was a very interesting event. Highly recommended.

    Hi Josh,
    yes I agree… the information is thin…
Here is the e-mail of the person that organises the conference: holly.giesman@roehampton.ac.uk . I have e-mailed her myself asking for a schedule that I could post on my blog. I will post news when I have them, but in the mean time I suppose you can contact her directly…

OK: here we are. Here is the website for the conference:

There is a link to the schedule on that page as well. The conference is now fully booked (even though the website doesn’t say that yet). But they are operating a reserve list, however. Sign up for that is via the following link:
